Your Turn

The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

I am so excited to see what you come up with, even if just one person creates a photo poem in the comments, I will be so happy!

(If you’re lost read this post first )

As you look at each photo, jot down a caption, anything that comes to mind. Combine them in the comment section and see if you like how your poem comes out. It does not need to make sense, check out mine here & here, I don’t know if they make sense but they make me smile.

I know you have some words in your head, now please… pretty please ~ share your poem.

Am I up…or am I down…as I reach for the sun my leaves fall to the ground.
    Time to go in….deep within
And wait for the warmth of spring to begin
Soon I will be covered from tippy top to trunk below
with a beautiful white coat of snow.

I love you Christine….thank you for inviting me to play and inspired by the 3rd photo…. ❤

    grace in growth

    standing tall
    falling down
    reaching skyward
    hanging on

    still time to float
    and swirl around
    to make designs
    and twirl them down

    stripes, flecks
    curls & puffs
    fall is come
    and winter soon

    School Dance

He’s standing with the guys * I swoon
    Heart flutters
    But does he see me?
    Heart tortured
    He beckons
    Heart erratic
    I go limp * He’s debonair
    May I have this dance?
    Heart pitter patters

    Sowing seeds
    Life of green
    Whirlwind
    Waiting to fly
    All alone
    Tangled so
    Layered and tiered
    What have we here?
    Relaxed and stressed
    Best dressed.

    Dying
    Living
    Life is a blur
    Seedy
    Speckled
    Squiggled
    And layered
    A beautiful mess revealed
    The flowers within.

The few stand firm to suppress the annual confrontation
others resign themselves to the inevitable
The young sense the controversy, but embrace the chance for a new agenda
Emotions run high and loyalty is blurred
    Treachery? Subjugation?
They request a forum with our prominent elders
But we continue to struggle with fear and misconceptions
    Our defenses are down
    and confusion ensues
    Months of negotiations garner consensus
Autumn reluctantly concedes to Winter’s reign

    Alert
    Relaxed
    Invigorated
    Resplendent
    Mystified
    Alluring
    Confused
    Fatigued
    Settled
    Baffled
    Frazzled

    Soldiers
    Fulsome
    Unfurled
    Spirits
    in a Jacobs ladder
    A spring snow
    Entwines
    Breathless ruffles
    Falling lightly
    under the Starlit sky

“The Maze of Life” Looking at nature one can see confusion and maddness in the lines, shapes, colors. However, nature, itself, is very well organized and knows each step of the [its] way. We can learn from her!

    up down dots
    upside down soft spiders
