I know of no other way to perfection but love. ~ St. Therese Of Lisieux
It’s moving day. I am taking the leap today, moving this blog over to my new website. I’m in the thick of designing a space that combines my new passion for photography along with my paintings and other aspects of my creative life. It’s not done and I’m not ready, my perfectionist tendencies have turned what I thought might be a 3 week project into 3 months of fussing.
The new site is not perfect, but I love where it’s going and I look forward to your feedback. You have helped shape this blog. I’m grateful that you find time to stop in and visit and I hope you join me at my new cyber home. The new blog/website will continue to have random posts that blend of my photography & thoughts in hopes of evoking something new in me or you.
Up high, the flies are playing,
And frolicking, and swaying.

All the critters are coming out to play. When the frogs come out, the sound of 100’s of them croaking at the same time can drown out all other sounds … it amazes me how loud they are. When I get to the edge of the water to find the frogs they tend to jump in and disappear, this guy was more curious than afraid.
I have been spending way too much time outside the last couple of weeks. The weather has been incredible, a dose of summer at the beginning of spring. At some point I’ll catch up with my photo sorting and share the bounty, but it’s just too nice out to be inside, today it may get up to 86° whoo hooo!
P.S. I know many of you can not comment. Thanks for trying, I’m not sure what the problem is? I have an appointment today with my computer guy. If he can’t fix the issue, I’ll be transferring over to my new website in hopes of solving the problem. My site is still a work in progress, but if it solves this issue it will be worth it.
The industrial age is ending, and a new one is beginning. It produces art instead of stuff and it rewards gracefulness.

Yesterday I felt like I was entering Mother Natures Modern Museum. There were literally thousands of spider webs floating in my fog filled yard. It was such a beautiful installation that appeared overnight thanks to the fog and dew. These magical conditions revealed hundreds and hundreds of intricate sculptures draped on branches, wrapped around weeds, and tucked into trees. It was heavenly.
This section of the back yard had web shapes that reminded me of modern artists like Frank Gehry, his buildings mesmerize. The intricate detailed construction also reminded me of dutch artist Theo Jansen, have you seen his kinetic sculptures?
Now I need to decide if I spend time sorting another collection or do I go outside in the beautiful weather. It’s such a fun time of year to hike with my dog & my camera, he’s busy sniffing out the new critters, while I’m busy finding so many tiny treasures dancing in the sunlight asking to have their photo taken.
Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls. ~ Mother Teresa
I had the most amazing morning, a photographer’s trifecta … fog + dew + webs! I spent over 3 hours wandering in the fog taking shots at every turn. I burned through two fresh camera batteries and loved getting hot and sweaty from the workout. I was squatting, bending, even climbing to capture webs and so much more. I had no desire to come back inside until the fog burned off and it lasted sooooo long – YEAH!
This straight out of the camera photo is one of my favorites. I love the way the two largest drops of dew become the eyes of a new kind of spider 🙂 I have so many more to sort and not just from today, yesterday was unseasonable warm and so many little critters were out and about. I am so excited to organize some new posts. I’ll be back soon, until then … happy early spring. I hope its warm and wonderful where ever you are today.

I love springing forward ~ more time to hike.
Alice laughed. “There’s not use trying,” she said: “one can’t believe impossible things.””I daresay you haven’t had much practice,” said the Queen. “When I was your age, I always did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” ~ Lewis Carrol

Wow, what a week. It’s been a wacky, wild, weird week? I’m not sure if it’s the energy of the full moon along with the solar flares but something is helping me to believe some things I thought were impossible … perhaps it’s the friends & family who believe in me when I forget how to believe in myself?
Grateful to all of you ❤
How was your week?
