Frog & Fly

Up high, the flies are playing,
And frolicking, and swaying.
The frog thinks: Dance! I know
You’ll end up here below.
~ Wilhelm Busch
All the critters are coming out to play. When the frogs come out, the sound of 100’s of them croaking at the same time can drown out all other sounds … it amazes me how loud they are. When I get to the edge of the water to find the frogs they tend to jump in and disappear, this guy was more curious than afraid.
I have been spending way too much time outside the last couple of weeks. The weather has been incredible, a dose of summer at the beginning of spring. At some point I’ll catch up with my photo sorting and share the bounty, but it’s just too nice out to be inside, today it may get up to 86° whoo hooo!
P.S. I know many of you can not comment. Thanks for trying, I’m not sure what the problem is? I have an appointment today with my computer guy. If he can’t fix the issue, I’ll be transferring over to my new website in hopes of solving the problem. My site is still a work in progress, but if it solves this issue it will be worth it.

The industrial age is ending, and a new one is beginning. It produces art instead of stuff and it rewards gracefulness.
…the future belongs to the breathtaking.~ Seth Godin
Yesterday I felt like I was entering Mother Natures Modern Museum. There were literally thousands of spider webs floating in my fog filled yard. It was such a beautiful installation that appeared overnight thanks to the fog and dew. These magical conditions revealed hundreds and hundreds of intricate sculptures draped on branches, wrapped around weeds, and tucked into trees. It was heavenly.
This section of the back yard had web shapes that reminded me of modern artists like Frank Gehry, his buildings mesmerize. The intricate detailed construction also reminded me of dutch artist Theo Jansen, have you seen his kinetic sculptures?
Now I need to decide if I spend time sorting another collection or do I go outside in the beautiful weather. It’s such a fun time of year to hike with my dog & my camera, he’s busy sniffing out the new critters, while I’m busy finding so many tiny treasures dancing in the sunlight asking to have their photo taken.

Sundays are the Best

I believe in God, only I spell it Nature. ~ Frank Lloyd Wright
Sundays are my favorite day of the week. The world seems to slow down a bit… there is a collective energy that encourages relaxation and reflection. Sundays seem to last longer than most days. I decide in the moment what to do, rather than attacking my to do list. Whatever gets ‘done’ is because it is exactly what I want to do and I don’t have guilt about anything I did not do ~ Yeah!
Today I hiked in the morning and in the evening finding so many of these little ice sculptures, tune in tomorrow to see my favorites.
What is your favorite day of the week?
Good Morning

Don’t you ever let a soul in the world tell you that you can’t be exactly who you are. ~Lady Gaga
Over the weekend I put together 5 different collections of photos to share with you, all with beautiful themes or color stories, but I finally settled on this random collection in a small attempt to let it be… let it be.
I’ve think I’ve spent over 20 years trying to learn how to NOT try too hard. Some of the books I’ve read, workshops, therapists, and deep love poured into me from incredible family and friends rubs off and I can let down, let go, do less than I think I’m capable of, attempt to relax and just play,,, but for the most part it doesn’t last I soon find my way back to trying too hard… paying attention to every damn detail…Trying to get it right even when I know there is no Right.
The perfectionist side of me may always aches to create some kind of beautiful order from the chaos that life is?? It’s just part of my personality, I try too hard and that’s okay.
What part of your personality have you learned to embrace rather than TRY to fix?
